During three sessions of 2 hours each, taking place on the 24th of June, 27th of June and the 3th of July from 18.30h till 20.30h, an introduction course will be given on the field of programming in VBA. VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is the programming language of Excel and other Office programs.
Basic knowledge of programming in VBA could help you to automate several procedures during your daily work at the university or your future job. Examples are (semi)automated planning tools, converting data to helpful information or mailing with help of Excel worksheets. During the first session, examples will be shown to give an idea of the opportunities when using VBA programming. Besides, we will start with the basics of programming in Excel (e.g. declaring variables, calling procedures, creating basic loops and creating user forms)
Since it is the first time that this course will be given at Asset | SBIT, the success heavily depends on your input. Therefore, you are asked to name two topics in your subscription that you want to learn during this course. For instance, you could state a problem you are facing often when working in Excel. The most useful topics will be used during the course.
Please note that this event is for Dutch speaking students only!
There are only 15 spots available, so subscriptions in which at least two topics are given as input have priority over subscriptions without this input.
Furthermore, you are expected to be present on at least 2 of the 3 proposed dates and you need a working laptop with a recent version of Office installed (2010 or later).
